Prior to the scheduled date of departure, Making Moves will provide you with two cell phone numbers: one for the Tour Director who will be traveling with your child and the other for your child’s Chaperone. Both numbers can be reached 24 hours a day during the tour.

We will provide parents with a very accurate itinerary that includes the name, address, and telephone number of every place we visit.  Students are permitted to travel with their cellphones.

To ensure your child is properly monitored, Making Moves maintains a 5:1 safe ratio of adults to students on each tour. Please contact Making Moves Tour Director with any questions or concerns you may have about chaperones.

While tour inclusions vary a bit based on the selected tour, trips are generally all inclusive. However, there are a few things that cannot be included such as airline baggage fees, wireless internet access, and supplemental travel insurance. Also, Making Moves does not include breakfast, though some hotels have breakfast available.

We recommend students bring $400. Money for food (breakfast), souvenirs and/or shopping should be provided at parent’s discretion.

Yes, we encourage parents to attend, as choosing the perfect fit college is a massive decision for anyone. However, parents are not allowed to Chaperone or share a room with their child. We want your child to have a whole college experience while on Tour, and your child can only gain this experience by being surrounded by other like-minded peers.

High school students (Grades 9-12) with a minimum GPA of 2.0 and Community College students.
